Notes: One of the latest G15's, chassis no. 15/0757. Not sure what colour she came out of the factory with but she was finished in Vauxhall Bluebird by Geoff Butcher, one of her former keepers. Why he chose this colour I don't know, but it's growing on me (slowly).

I purchased the car from Philip Hunt (through Cottage Classics in Suffolk) who was the 11th keeper (it says here). Another former keeper lived only a few miles from me in Gosport in Hampshire, and the car appears to have spent most of her life in either Suffolk or Hampshire - is this why they built the M25?

The car sports a matching toothbrush on the dashboard, simply because my family jokes there's only enough room inside for me and a toothbrush - so there. At least it's a good excuse to not carry passengers because with the toothbrush in there's no room for them!
Modifications: The car had a 998cc engine and R17 camshaft fitted when I acquired it. The twin Stromberg 150's were exchanged for twin Dellorto DHLA 40's and I also put on some minilite replicas instead of the well worn Exacton alloys. The car goes faster than I have enough trousers for like this, besides it's illegal to do more than 120mph in the UK (isn't it?).

Apart from the engine mods the car is remarkably original with no bumps, scoops or flares which weren't fitted by the factory in the first place. This suits me fine because I only ever intend to use her on the roads not the track, and pretty cars like this should not be un-necessarily adulterated.

I might jack the suspension up because it's quite scary pulling up at the traffic lights and having to crane your neck to look up at the Mini driver alongside! Or on second thoughts.......
Accolades: About 30 11-year olds leaning over a school fence going "Corr", "Wow", "Cool", "Nice car mister" etc etc is enough for me.
