"Its a 1974 UK car that was exported out to Portugal in 1976 and according to Portuguese records it spent many years off the road (hence the low mileage) and was re-imported and bought by myself 3 years ago.
Due to Portugal’s climate the car was exceptionally rust free and well preserved.
It has 39k miles that appear genuine and is backed up by UK and Portuguese documents and paperwork.
I had the car stripped and fully inspected prior to rebuild. The only repair needed was an area the size of a 5p that had 2 small pin holes that I had welded.
The Engine bay is original with no rust at all around any of the normal places. The hinge areas, suspension turrets and headlight bowls are perfect.
The whole underside was stripped before repainting and photos were taken throughout the build process.
Ive had the whole electrical system checked and sorted, replaced the bushes, the complete braking system, suspension, had the interior re-trimmed with correct material, new vinyl roof etc as well as many other parts.
All rebuild parts were sourced from Tickover, Capri Gear or club members and Ive restored as close to factory spec as possible.
Below is a list of most of the things that have been completed:"
