148 Squadron, plane shot down Aug 1944, PolandI live in Krakow Poland and on a weekend trip to visit some friends in a small village I was taken to a memorial and grave of 7 airmen 3 British 3 Canadian and 1 Australian. According to the locals their aircraft was shot down while delivering supplies to the Polish resistance, their memorial is very simple with a fragment of the aircraft planted next to a stone with their names, I understand they were with 148 Squadron can anyone help shed some light on this, by the way the locals look after the site by themselves and I can say very nicely although it's in the middle of a cabbage field.
