Robert (Bob) Dickie

My father, who came from Dumbarton, died in 1945 at Castle Archdale N.Ireland when I was only one year old and I would love to find out more about him. He served with Coastal Command throughout the war starting off at Abbotsinch with 269 Squadron and I know he was also at Sumburgh, possibly Wick, Iceland and Pembroke, but not necessarily in that order. He was a Flight Sergeant when he died and was in the squadron office side of things. My mother, who passed away some years ago, told me that he had to sort out personal effects of aircrew who did not return, something which he did notparticularly relish.
If anyone has any info on him, I would be delighted to hear from them.
