C. H. Hurle, Flt. SgtJulian Vernon is interested in information on his grandfather, Flt. Sgt C. H Hurle. He was shot down during a raid on Duisburg, Germany. Julian has undertaken research and intends to go this year with his mother to visit his grave. He would be interested in any information, particularly where his aircraft crashed and any records of previous bombing missions.
The information so far is as follows.

He was flying in a Halifax Mk2, Serial JB799, Codes DY:E that took off from Pocklington at 23:51 on the 12th May 1943.
