"I am researching the Berlin Raid of 23/24 August 1943 and am trying to trace two UK airmen, F/S Cyril Allan Worledge [573978], the Flight Engineer, and F/O Timothy James Collins [199742], Mid-upper Gunner, who returned, with the pilot, to the 75 NZ Squadron base of Mepal on their severely damaged Stirling aircraft EF435 JN:J.
The three airmen were decorated. There are now unfortunately no surviving New Zealand crew members from the mission. They had baled out over Germany to become POW's.
I would appreciate any further help which you may be able to give to my research."
