I moved to Cornwall and though I dearly loved the car, it was a bit thirsty for my current situation, so I part exchanged it against a Fiat Cinquecento Sporting.
The car was exchanged at a garage in Penryn, Cornwall. |

I bought this from SR Cars, Watford for £700 with full MOT. Immaculate condition, no rust, no smoke, interior was mint. It even had a factory fitted remote alarm and immobiliser, which must have been fairly rare on a car of that age. It had a few minor niggles when I bought it, like not running properly from cold but it was nothing that a good service didn't fix. I had a new set of Avon ZV1 tyres fitted and this made it so smooth and quiet. The economy was poor when I bought it, 1 tank of petrol would only last 200 miles. It also never warmed up, running under the blue cold mark on the temperature gauge. I replaced the thermostat and the economy almost doubled, but the temperature gauge then sat exactly half way up. Other main problem is that it leaked - rear offside passenger footwell was often swimming - but I couldn't for the life of me see where it was getting in. |
